Chimney Sweeping and Stove Maintenance:

Sweep the chimney at least twice a year to ensure safe and ef昀椀cient operation. This is particularly
important before lighting the stove after a prolonged shutdown.
Use a Competent Chimney Sweep, certi昀椀ed by one of the following recognised organisations:

The Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps (GoMCS)
The Association of Professional Independent Chimney Sweeps (APICS)
National Chimney Sweeping Safety Association (NCSSA)

After sweeping, retain a copy of the chimney sweep certi昀椀cate as proof of proper maintenance. This
documentation may be required for warranty claims or future reference.
