CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Daily or Weekly Maintenance (User Discretion)
Glass Cleaning:
• Clean the glass as needed to maintain
clarity. Use a stove glass cleaner or
ceramic hob cleaner on a cool surface.
Avoid using ash or abrasive materials,
which can cause scratches that may
lead to long-term damage.
Weekly Maintenance
Ashpan Cleaning:
• Empty the ashpan based on fuel use
(daily for coal, weekly for wood).
Remove the ashpan completely and
check for any ash buildup blocking the
air passage for primary air. If
necessary, remove the grate for easier
access to ensure thorough cleaning.
Rope and Glass Gasket Seal Inspection:
• Inspect for wear, damage, or gaps.
Reattach loose seals with rope seal
adhesive and replace worn or missing
seals to maintain proper operation and
emissions control.
Tertiary Air Bar Maintenance:
• Inspect the row of tertiary air holes
located above the rear 昀椀rebrick for ash
or soot buildup. Brush or vacuum the
holes when the stove is cold.
