LIGHTING YOUR FIRST FIRE
5. Light the Fire:
Ignite the 昀椀relighters and close the stove door. The 昀椀re will burn from the top down, gradually heating
the logs below. Adjust the air control lever into the ignition position (to the left) during this phase to
provide maximum air昀氀ow, to warm the chimney and 昀椀rebox for a clean and ef昀椀cient start.
6. Adjusting the Air Controls:
Once the kindling has burned down and the small logs have caught 昀椀re, adjust the air control to optimise
performance and minimise heat loss. Gradually reduce the setting by moving the air control lever
towards the centre position as the 昀氀ue draw increases. This prevents excess air from wastefully pushing
heat up the 昀氀ue, ensuring more heat is retained in the 昀椀rebox and room.
