UNPACKING THE STOVE
Care must be taken not to damage the underside heat de昀氀ector when moving the stove on trucks.
Installation is best performed with the door and internal components removed prior.

Stove Glove (necessary for handling stove when hot)
Log Guard (bar in supports -help retain fuel when door is opened)
Grate (grate for use with smokeless fuel)
Fire Brick set (material that lines the 昀椀rebox – take care, this is easily damaged)
Ash pan (aids removal of burned fuel waste)
Stripping Down the Appliance for Weight Reduction
To make the Hamer stove lighter and easier to handle, follow this sequence to remove pre-昀椀tted
components carefully. This process reduces the appliance's weight, making it safer and more manageable
to position.
1. Open the Door and Remove Loose Components
Open the door and remove any loose components from inside the stove, including:
• Flue collar with gasket
• Clean-Flow Flue cage
• Top cover disk
• Gauntlets
• Installation and user instructions
Set these components aside for re-installation later.
