Hearth Requirements
A hearth is made up of 2 layers: a constructional hearth base concrete layer and a superimposed hearth
top decorative layer.
The heat shield reduced the under stove temperature to well below 100°C. If the heat shield is 昀椀tted as
standard the stove can be installed upon a 12mm non-combustible hearth, and there is no requirement
for a full constructional hearth.
If the heat shield is removed then a full construction hearth will be required in accordance to building
regulations.
